This paper describes the most recent studies about policies and strategies that Latin American and Caribbean countries have adopted regarding training teachers, analyzes the problems teacher trainers face, and identifies various institutions that train teachers, providing an overview of the pedagological training that teacher trainers receive. The paper offers suggestions for how to define and create effective teacher training policies. Portuguese and Spanish (above).
