Agenda for the Americas

This report—Agenda for the Americas—was produced by a special Inter-American Dialogue task force on U.S. policy in the Western Hemisphere. We assembled the task force in response to the growing concerns of our members that U.S. policy in the Americas is not adequately serving the interests of either the United States or the nations of Latin America and the Caribbean. Our objective was to identify policies and approaches that would enable Washington to take better advantage of the enormous opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with the governments of the region.
